What is the District of Design?

The District of Design is the physical and cultural hub of Northeast Ohio’s world-class design industry. Centered in downtown Cleveland’s PlayhouseSquare, it is home to some of the region’s—and, indeed, the nation’s—leading design firms, from the fields of interior, graphic, urban, and industrial design, architecture and more. The district is a vibrant creative community where leading design talent can share ideas and develop valuable business partnerships.

The District not only provides some of the best prime real estate in the region. It also incorporates a broader initiative centered around nurturing new design talent. Whether the individual is a budding designer at Cleveland’s Jane Addams Design Lab, or a fledgling furniture designer, the District is there to provide meaningful networking and educational opportunities to not only grow businesses, but grow the regional design industry.
